Security

Your keys never
leave your device.

Keys are created and sealed inside the Secure Enclave — isolated in hardware, unreadable by anyone. Aperture never sees them. There's no account to phish, no server to breach, no company to trust.

Non-custodial

You hold the only key. No backdoor, no second copy, no one to ask permission from.

Sealed in hardware

Private keys live in the Secure Enclave and never touch the network — not even ours.

Open by design

Every line of Aperture is public. Don't trust us — verify it yourself.

Why Aperture

The safest feature is
what we left out.

Most crypto wallets keep adding surfaces: buy, sell, swap, connect, browse, approve. Each one can introduce partners, contracts, scripts, permissions, and prompts. Aperture takes the opposite path.

No buy or sell desk. No swap engine. No Web3 browser. No dApp approval maze. Aperture is a personal safe for crypto: 100% open source, self-custodial, and built so your private keys stay on your device.

Removed on purpose

Removed

No buy or sell desk

Fiat ramps pull a wallet into payment processors, identity checks, banking partners, and custody handoffs. Aperture leaves that machinery outside your safe.

Removed

No swap engine

Swap flows can hide token approvals, routing contracts, slippage, MEV, malicious assets, and third-party code. Aperture does not turn signing into trading.

Removed

No Web3 browser

In-wallet browsers make every website a potential signing prompt. Removing the browser removes an entire class of phishing and wallet-drainer attacks.

Removed

No dApp approval maze

A standing approval can become a backdoor later. Aperture does not ask you to connect everything everywhere, so there is less permission surface to exploit.

What remains

A personal safe

Hold, send, and receive without accounts, dashboards, trading noise, or anything trying to pull your keys into someone else's system.

Keys on your device

Private keys are generated and protected locally. They are not held by Aperture, shared with a server, or wrapped in an account.

100% open source

The wallet can be inspected, built, and challenged in public. Trust is earned by code people can verify, not promises they cannot see.
